Who is DJ Zinhle?

DJ Zinhle is one of the biggest DJs in South Africa . She rose to fame in 2012 with her single ‘My name is’ feat Busiswa. Zinhle was born in Dannhauser in Kwazulu Natal and her real name is Ntombezinhle Jiyane.

Where it all started.

Growing up , she wanted to be a TV presenter and didn’t have any passionate to become a dj.However her brother ‘s love for djing eventually rubbed off her and her passion for djing started. She got her first big break when she became a resident DJ at an SABC 1 music show Jika Majika.And she also landed her own radio show on YFM. DJ Zinhle has also appeared on several tv series as an actor such as rhythm city and ekasi ,Our stories.

Signing to Kalawa Jazzmee

Oskido noticed her talent and potential, and later signed her to his stable ‘Kalawa Jazzme’. She released her debut single ‘My name is’ and it went to be one of the biggest songs of 2012. Her brand started growing and she was getting gigs all over the country.

After the success of ‘My name is’ , Zinhle went on to release more hit songs. Including the recent hit ‘Umlilo’ which became the song of the year for 2019.
