Who is Riky Rick ?

Riky Rick real name is Rikhado Makhado, he is a South African rapper, composer, fashion designer and label owner of  “Cotton Club Records”. Riky rose to fame when he released his debut single “Nafukwa” back in 2014.

His Background?

Makhando was born in KwaMashu township in Kwazulu Natal. He was raised by his grandmother due to his parents ‘s divorce while he was still young. Riky went to school in KwaMashu until he completed his matric. After Completing his matric , he enrolled at the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA) , He studied media and majored in Film Production.

His Music Career

Makhado was inspired a lot by Bongani Fassie , He used to work a lot with Bongani Fassie. After working with Bongani for some time , He was inspired to explore his own sounds and record his own music . In 2014 , he released his single ‘Nafukwa’ which was the single that took him to stardom status. Nafukwa enjoyed so much success , and after that Song Riky came back stronger with ‘Amantombazane’ and later amantombazane remix that had almost every rapper that was hot at that time.

He Later dropped another single titled ‘Boss Zonke’ , which just took him to a whole new level . Boss Zonke was so big that it stayed on top of the charts for weeks.
