Who is Nadia Nakai?

Nadia Nakai Kandava is a South African female Hip Hop song writer and recording artist signed under Family Tree Media. Nadi nakai’s family and origins are traced back in Zimbabwe.

Growing Up

Nadia Nakai moved to JHB permanently after attending High School in Kenya. She studied Marketing Communications and Media studies at Monash University. She completed her degree and ventured in a television industry where she featured on SABC 1. Battle stations (season 1-3). She was a presenter and anchor for The Daily Show-Daily Planet on PRTV and attended glamorous shows where she interviewed celebrities around the globe.

Her rise to Fame

Nadia Nakai decided to focus on her music career after a brief stint in the television industry. She signed with Family Tree media. After signing with Family Tree, Nadia Nakai released her 1st single under the label ” Money Back”. The single was well received, she then followed up her single with the release her 1st body of work – EP “Bragga” which debuted at numer 2 on the itunes Hip Hop chart.
