Who is Mthandazo Gatya ?
Mthandazo Gatya is a South African Songwriter and singer born in a township called Weilers Fam , johannesburg . He is famously known for his hit single ‘Senzeni’ feat DJ Manzo and Comado. The single ‘Senzeni’ is currently doing so well on the charts.
Where he started?
He fell in love with singing back in primary and was part of the school choir, started recording music in 2009 and a year later (2010) found himself on Jam Alley as a contestant and came out 2nd, from then onwards Mthandazo Gatya never looked back.
His latest single Senzeni is playlisted on all radio and TV stations. In just two weeks of release the song formed part of the most played songs on radio and made it to Ukhozi FM top 20. The song soon made the playlist of Trending songs in South Africa on Apples Music and Shazam.
Some of Mthandazo Gatya’s highlights were sharing the stage with the likes of Black Coffee,Oskido and Rocco. He was featured on Daily Sun in July 31/2020. Mthandazo performed on Afro Cafe as a request by a fan in August 21/2020 in dedication to her parents.
Mthandazo Gatya was signed to Jozi Entertainment on 06 June 2020 and had his 1st single “Senzeni” released with the recording company in July 17/2020 and was licensed to Universal Music Group.
