MTN Bushfire 2014, Swaziland’s international festival of the arts will take place from May 30th – June 1st 2014. This year’s festival promises the best line-up to date, with artists from over 10 countries and some massive international stars including Ladysmith Black Mambazo and, just announced, one of South Africa’s hottest international exports Spoek Mathambo, and Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi who will add to the line-up already including the 70’s inspired Colombian Salsa artists La 33, SA’s Bongo Maffin and France’s beat box sensations Under Kontrol.
More than 20,000 festival goers will enjoy dozens of artists from all over the world performing at a 100% socially responsible festival. More than just a music festival, MTN Bushfire is a celebration of live music, theatre, poetry, film, circus, dance and visual arts.

In addition, the interactive art and dialogue space, The Barn, will feature a contemporary art exhibition titled ‘Swaziland NOW!’, which sees local and international visual artists “bringing their fire” and exploring the issues of contemporary Swaziland. Along with the exhibition, there will be a series of musical, dramatic, poetic performances and hosted panel discussions.
