Controversial radio and TV personality Dineo Ranaka has clinched a lucrative deal with Legit for her clothing line LUV DR!
Dineo is the 2014 winter brand ambassador for this growing brand. Since 2008 they have had top entertainment industry players like Bonang Matheba, Minnie Dlamini, Zizo Beda, Sade Giliberti, Toya Delazy and just recently, DJ Zinhle.
The deal allows her to show her LUV DR range which consists of stylish prints, gold tones and sophisticated stilettos.
Dineo said she was excited. She said she knows that to maintain success is very difficult but she was prepared to work hard.
She said: “From a business point of view it is a very great opportunity for a small business like LUV DR to be endorsed by a bigger brand.”
She said her brand and the Legit brand both have too many similarities and she couldn’t have asked for anything more at this stage.
When asked why women would buy her range? she said: “Their confidence can be expected to grow 100%.
“They can expect to be empowered because the brand is so stylish and it’s made with love.”
She told SunBuzz that she wants women to embrace her range as they were currently doing on social media.
“While I was with Club 808 on e.tv I used to dress myself and people will demand that I put the brand in stores. “Now it’s time for the clothes to be accessible to them too.”
When asked about any fears about getting into the clothing business, she said that she didn’t have any.
She said she was a very faithful woman spiritually and the Lord has presented this opportunity to her.
“Be what you want to be and not what people want you to be,” concluded Dineo.
She started her label in 2011 and attended the London International School of Fashion in Pretoria briefly before focusing on her acting, radio and music career dreams.
Legit also confirmed on Twitter: The LUV DR range will be in selected stores from 15 April and in all stores from 24 April.
