Who is Dineo Ranaka?
Dineo Ranaka born by businesswomen mama Siba Ranaka and her father Kgotlaesele Ranaka in 1983 at Chrisani Baragwanath Hospital in Diepkloop, Soweto is a South African actress, radio personality, Tv personality, success businesswomen and Music DJ.
Growing Up
Dineo Ranaka is a second born from a family of 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls. Her siblings is South Africn actress, Manaka Ranaka who is the 1st born, Mpumi Ranaka, Ziggy Ranaka and the last born Ranaka Ranaka. Dineo ranaka attended High School at Dinwiddie High School and later enrolled at Unisa.
Her Rise To Fame
Dineo ranaka started out as radio trainee on 5FM and later joined YFM as a producer, she got her biggest break by co-hosting a popular show called “Essential Rush” with the now late Chilli M. She impressed and was given her own show “Dineo Live on Drive”. This is where she gained massive popularity and her name became a force as a leading voice for ladies on South African radio. Dineo ranaka took a “Radio break” after leaving YFM and made her return on radio by hosting a weekend show on Highveld, now 94.7 but soon resigned as she felt the station’s culture didn’t align with her values. Dineo had a brief stint with Cliff central before landing her own show on one of the biggest youth station in South Africa, Metro FM. She is currently the host of “The Bridge” on Metro FM.
Television
Dineo Ranaka kicked off her TV career on Etv Club 808 season 1 as co-host alongside Moeti ‘Mo Flava’ Tsiki. After leaving Club 808 she presented numerous other Tv shows notably All Access. She aslo hosted a couple of awards ceremonies. Dineo Ranaka had a reality tv show, Dineo’s Diary which is still the longest running reality show to date. She capped it on season 5. She currently produces and features in the spin off of her own reality show The Ranakas, which now includes her entire family. She recently announced her new venture of being a house and Hip Hop DJ.
