Who is Ami Faku ?

Ami Faku is a South African Afro Pop , She is a singer , performer and songwriter. Born Amanda Faku in 1993 in the Eastern cape. Amanda was raised in a township called Izinyoka , Eastern Cape . She discovered her singing abilities at a very young age , when she had so sing in church.

Entering the Music Industry

She rose to fame when she was a contestant on a show called ‘The Voice SA ’. Being a participant in that show really elevated her music career and opened up a lot of opportunities for her. She got to meet a producer called 37MPH who introduced her to Vth Season ‘s Raphael Benza.

Signing to Vth Season

After raphael saw the talent Ami had , He didn’t hesitate , he signed her to Vth Season.

She has a unique voice which sets her apart from any other artist. Her music is influenced by the likes of Daniel Ceasar and Sabrina Claudio . Her sound that has that Xhosa magic is also something different and resonates with all kinds of people.

Ami Faku after joining Vth Season released her first single, Ndikhethe Wena which captured the hearts of Mzansi. In 2019 she released her debut project titled ‘Imali’
