DaKAR is the only strictly digital release to be nominated for a 13th annual MMA’s and
although Kwesta has made the means to make his music as accessible as possible he admits
that the South African market is far from well adept to the digital music world after being
inundated with calls from fans demanding the release a physical CD. The physical release
coincides with closing of voting lines for the Metro FM Awards about which Kwesta had to say:
may the best man win and by best man I mean me because with all due no-one deserves it
more than me. Those who’ve listened to DaKAR will agree it’s a classic, in a league of it’s own!”
The 16-track DaKAR CD will be available in stores from Monday the 17th of February 2014.
