MTV BASE SA’s HOTTEST MC’s 2020

The most anticipated SA’s Hottest MC list of the year was announced, we must say it was very controversial.Most certainly well deserved and some unexpected game changers this year has come with.

It was very tricky because of this uncertain COVID life we have been living but this was not a big enough obstacle for some of the Mc’s who made it on the list.

Besides just the lyrics and of course they have to be relatable or at least relevant for that moment and time. which is the key element of having a great Mc. There is so much more than just that considered to make it on this prestigious list.

Sales: this is a very fundamental role, numbers of sales have to show.

Buzz: People need to know who you are, from the streets to the Djs playing club to club

flow/style: You need to have some sort of style that separates you from the rest interms of how your music is executed all the way to the way you dress and represent the culture. If not it will be difficult for you to stand out and make a difference in the game.
